Sony’s all-in-one handheld entertainment system, the PSP®, just got easier to carry around. That’s because the new PSP® is 33 per cent lighter – weighing only about 189g (weight of current model is approximately 280g), and 19 per cent slimmer – measuring a mere 18.6mm thick (thickness of current model is approximately 23mm). Even the thickness of the battery has been reduced by 23 per cent to 10mm (thickness of battery in current model is 13mm).
But a reduction in size isn’t its only benefit. The new PSP® also features a video-out port*1, allowing you to enjoy Universal Media Disc (UMD) videos, pictures and movies from Memory Stick™ Duo and games*2 – all on your TV. Plus, it comes equipped with 64MB of system memory, allowing game data from UMD to be temporarily stored in the PSP®, effectively reducing loading time during game play*3. There’s even added ways for you to charge the new PSP®, via the PLAYSTATION®3, or a PC using a USB cable while data transferring*4.
Available in more colours including Piano Black, Ice Silver, Ceramic White, Rose Pink, Lavender Purple and Felicia Blue, the new PSP® looks set to further cement its position as the handheld entertainment system of choice.
